Car Charging Problems

Car Charging Problems Are you having car charging problems?

There are a number of reasons why you may be experiencing car charging problems and if your car’s running out of charge, blowing fuses or Battery or Charge indicator light is on in the dashboard you should have your car checked as soon as possible.

The light is a warning that the level of power in the battery or the level of charge reaching the battery is insufficient. If left unattended this will deplete all power from the battery and the car will cease to operate.

Call 13 20 42 to arrange for a ACE Mobile Mechanic to come to you and help sort out your car charging problems.

About the charging problems on your car

The charging system generates charge to replenish the charge used from the battery during start up and normal operation. The charge level needs to be adequate which means not to under charge or over charge the car’s battery or cause other issues such as to blow fuses.

The cause of a flat or dead battery may be the battery itself or any of the components of the charging system for example the belts, the alternator, the wiring, terminals and connections or the voltage regulator. There may also be a power leak or short in the system.

ACE knows what charging system parts are best for your application from car to vans, 4WD’s and trucks. ACE has a wide range of charging systems components, alternators and voltage regulators which minimises your downtime. The most popular components are also carried in our fleet on the road to be able to promptly attend breakdowns and emergency calls. We can repair or replace charging system components and voltage regulators and all work comes with our 12 Month - 20,000km Nationwide Warranty. We recommend only the higher quality new or remanufactured alternators. Second-hand or reconditioned alternators are not recommended due to quality and reliability issues.

Should your car’s charging system not be operating properly, such as if the car’s battery is going flat or your headlights grow dim, a professional mobile ACE Technician can come to you and assist, seven days a week. Our technicians specialise in attending to breakdowns, batteries, starting and charging systems.
